Peter Pan Features A Mermaid That Looks Like Ariel The main reason Peter Pan and The Little Mermaid are thought to be connected at all is because of the scene when Peter Pan visits Mermaid Lagoon in Neverland. When the mermaids gather around Peter, there is one who looks quite a bit like Ariel, and she even gets a single shot. The mermaid has red hair, a green/blue tail, and wears the classic seashell bra just like Ariel.

In the flashback, Ariel, her parents, and her sisters are all relaxing in a cove with other merpeople when they are attacked by pirates.
