The most recent Daredevil series by zdarsky and MChecC is one on of the best Marvel Comics of the past few years. As Matt Murdock and Elektra embark on a new era, the same creative team will continue their adventures in a brand-new series this summer.
Marvel Comics has revealed the next chapter for Daredevil, as a bold new era will begin with Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto continuing working on the title. On Tuesday, Marvel revealed the next era of Daredevil would feature an explosive new beginning for the hero, as the series will pick up directly following the shocking events of the current Devil's Reign miniseries.
Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto's work on Daredevil led to one of the best ongoing stories the character has ever had. In their series, Matt Murdock has struggled with what it means to be a hero, ultimately turning himself into police after accidentally killing a thug. As Marvel's original Daredevil sat in prison, Elektra took over the mantle, promising Murdock she would turn over a new leaf as a hero in the role.
In a press release, Zdarsky said he and Checchetto said the plan for the series is to take as"big a swing" as they could possibly make. Checchetto joked about how much more he and Zdarsky could mess with Matt Murdock's life. It's the first time that I’ve to draw the first issue of the same series twice. I could tell you it's an issue like everyone else, now, but it's not, Checcetto promises. Each time I’ve to draw a new script of Daredevil it's a new experience. Chip keeps throwing at me new challenges and I'm not the type of artist to refuse them. How much more can we mess up with Matt Murdock's life? Let’s see with this new DAREDEVIL #1.
Matt Murdock and Elektra's Daredevil bold new era and series will begin in June, as Daredevil #1 arrives in comic book stores this summer.
