Lim Kit Siang will receive Penang’s highest civilian honour, Darjah Utama Pangkuan Negeri, with the title ‘Datuk Seri Utama’. — Picture by Miera ZulyanaKUALA LUMPUR, July 26 — Veteran politician Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang heads the list of 1,346 recipients of state honours and awards in conjunction with the 75th birthday of Penang Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak.
Also receiving the award are Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Khaw Kok Chin; Army Western Field commander Datuk Muhammad Huzaimi Sabri; Penang State Legislative Assembly speaker Datuk Law Choo Kiang and Penang State Secretary Datuk Rosli Isa. The recipients of the DSPN, which also carries the title “Datuk” include Penang mufti Prof Madya Mohd Sukki Othman; Penang Port Commission general manager Vijayaindiaran Visvalingam; and Malaysian Ambassador to Timor Leste Amarjit Singh Sarjit Singh.
A total of 102 people receive the Darjah Johan Negeri; 30 the Bintang Cemerlang Negeri; 205 the Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji, 328 the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian , 516 the Pingat Jasa Masyarakat and 22 the Pingat Bakti Setia.
