Healthcare workers Jackie Pokuaa and Katie Flowers were shot and killed in Dallas Methodist Hospital on Oct. 22, 2022. Now, one year later, there are new laws in place to try to prevent a similar tragedy from happening again.
Police released the body camera video on Wednesday of the officer at the center of the harrowing events inside Methodist Dallas Medical Center.Sunday marks one year since the shooting at Dallas Methodist Hospital that killed a nurse and healthcare worker in the hospital's labor and delivery area., was allowed to see his newborn and ended up assaulting his girlfriend and killing healthcare workers Jackie Pokuaa and Katie Flowers.
Nurse Katie "Annette" Flowers then looked into the room and was shot in the hallway, the documents say. He spent 100 days in jail for the violation and was released on Sept. 28, 2022, just weeks before the shooting.
