Dallas ISD's longtime superintendent Dr. Michael Hinojosa says he is leaving his role at the end of the year. But he said he's not retiring and he'll still be around.
The longtime superintendent of Dallas public schools is leaving his role at the end of 2022.
Those words, coupled with a video highlighting his parents move from Mexico to Lubbock when he was 2 years old, seemed to stop just short of a campaign announcement. It’s rumored he is considering a run for mayor of Dallas. "I’m not stepping down on anything. I’m going to step up. But I am going to exit as superintendent. My last official day will be Dec. 31, 2022," he said. "I will be around for the foreseeable future, certainly through that date."
