Cowboys owner and billionaire Jerry Jones has at least three lawsuits pending against him, including one alleging he sexually assaulted a woman and one...

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones speaks with reporters after an NFL wild card playoff game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, in Arlington. The Cowboys lost to the Packers 48-32.The longest-pending lawsuit was filed by a woman in 2020 who alleges Jones sexually assaulted her at AT&T Stadium years earlier. The other two lawsuits are tied to a woman who claims Jones is her biological father.

Jones said in an affidavit that, if deposed, he would testify that he does not recall meeting the woman or taking a photo with her. He said he did not sexually assault her and called the allegations “categorically false.”, but the defendants’ attorneys have requested the date be reset to no sooner than March 3, 2025 “to conduct formal discovery.

in October 2022, and a judge ordered Jones to take a test in December 2022. Multiple continuations have since been filed.A dismissal for want of prosecution hearing is set for May 31, which is when a case can be dismissed if it hasn’t been progressing. A case can be reinstated after a dismissal. In the lawsuit, Davis accuses Jones and others of executing a “false and purposeful character assassination attack” on her after she sued him to establish paternity. She is seeking unspecified damages.

This contradicts a filing made by Jones and his attorneys saying Davis asked whether he “wanted to make a deal” and that she filed litigation after he “declined to pay,” the lawsuit says. The latest movement in the case was a hearing earlier this month at the federal court in Texarkana where the defense attorneys, once again, asked the judge to dismiss the lawsuit.
