Dallas will create the Dallas Disaster Aid Program, where the city could give up to $1,000 to families within three days of a disastrous event that makes them unable to stay in their home.
A single person to a family of four would get up to $500, a family between five and seven people would get up to $800, and a family of eight or more could get up to $1,000.when some residents faced delays in aid or were unable to get immediate help from private insurance or the Federal Emergency Management Agency following floods last August.
