Chairman of the Council of Eminent Persons says the people should not be upset that the cost was slashed to RM44 billion.
KUALA TERENGGANU: Six stations of the East Coast Rail Link will be built in Terengganu, the chairman of the Council of Eminent Persons, Daim Zainuddin, said today, which proved that the state is not being bypassed as alleged by some.
“The ECRL will pass through Terengganu, but won’t go past it ,” said Daim who was in Terengganu for the Darul Iman Talk titled, “Bumiputera Economy: National Agenda’, today. Besides reduced cost, the new alignment has a reduced distance to 648 kilometres from the original 688 kilometres.
