BANGKOK: Thai police have arrested 18 people, including three celebrities, and seized luxury sports cars and millions of dollars in connection with a pyramid scheme selling health and dietary supplements, officers said Thursday (Oct 17).

KUALA LUMPUR : The Sessions Court here was told that former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin has been admitted to hospital.

The court was initially scheduled to deliver its decision on the prosecution's application for Daim to undergo a mental evaluation to assess whether he can stand trial. Azura then fixed Nov 20 to hear the defence's rebuttal and said that Daim must be present on the date. He said the prosecution received Daim's medical certificate issued by Assunta Hospital from the defence team.
