I have to really applaud Alexander because though he is a white man, he—in a way that I haven't had in a while, or not to that degree—was very invested in the authenticity of what needed to occur in Mary. He was very open to a consistent collaboration and conversations of what that entails. He would be like, ‘This is kind of what I envision.
