The Democratic Alliance (DA) has filed a Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) request to the Presidency seeking justice minister Thembi Simelane’s report on her alleged links to the VBS Mutual Bank scandal involving a R500k loan. The DA accuses President Cyril Ramaphosa of failing to address Simelane’s involvement.
The DA is accusing Ramaphosa of failing to take action against justice minister Thembi Simelane over her alleged VBS links.
According to the party, President Cyril Ramaphosa’s office confirmed receiving the report on 11 September.
