Take advantage of Cyberpunk 2077's new Perks.
The Perks in Cyberpunk 2077 have received a massive overhaul in Update 2.0, with dozens of new stat-based abilities that lend themselves well to diverse and powerful builds. There are new Perks for all playstyles, whether you’re planning to shred enemies in close combat with the Mantis Blades, sow chaos with quickhacks, or take out entire squads of gangsters with multiple headshots.
It’s a simple change, but it has a surprising effect in combat encounters, allowing V to maintain their stealthy approach even when they’re accidentally spotted by an unseen enemy. Instead of starting a firefight, V can now slip back out of sight and continue on a spree of silent takedowns. Sensory Protocol also works extremely well with other stealth-based perks.
8 Lead and Steel Lead and Steel is one of the most epic Perks introduced in Phantom Liberty. It reduces the Stamina cost of attacks with Blades weapons, such as katanas, and even grants V the ability to block incoming projectiles. Blocking enemy fire with a blade gives V some increased survivability when trying to engage enemies in melee combat.
You’ll want to allocate some Perk Points to side Perks such as Ambidextrous, which unlocks an extra slot for Hand Cyberware. Extended Warranty, which increases the duration of all Cyberware effects by 15%, is also a great choice. It’s worth putting points into Technical Ability for a Cyberware-focused build, as V will eventually bump up against Cyberpunk’s new Cyberware Capacity mechanic. This mechanic limits how much Cyberware V can install at once.
5 Finisher: Bladerunner The Finisher: Bladerunner Perk reduces the Stamina cost of Blades attacks by 15% and boosts attack speed by 20%: a bonus that’s highly recommended for anyone using Blades weapons. The biggest draw of this Perk is the Blade Finisher, which V can use to instantly kill any enemy at low health with a gory finishing move.
The new challenge for gunslingers is therefore to keep Stamina high in order to maintain Deadeye. Other Perks such as California Reaper and Nerves of Tungsten Steel are perfect for keeping your Stamina bar full.
