Brat, the word redefined by singer Charli XCX and adopted by supporters of US presidential candidate Kamala Harris, was on Friday named the Collins Word of the Year 2024.

SHAH ALAM: The Royal Malaysian Customs Department has denied a viral report claiming that the Customs Director-General, Datuk Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin, misused government funds for a recent vacation in Bangkok, Thailand.

The department emphasised that the accusations were baseless and defamatory, originating from an irresponsible party. The Customs DG’s application to travel abroad for personal reasons was also sanctioned, following General Circular Letter Number 3 of 2012, which outlines regulations for public officials' travel abroad for private matters.

While in Bangkok, the Customs DG attended the International Boxing Championships to support the department's Adli Hafidz. He represented the country and achieved victory, bringing pride to the nation. Anis Rizana has consistently supported and encouraged department personnel in their pursuit of excellence.
