Jeffrey stressed that cultural heritage of indigenous communities faces the threat of extinction if nothing is done to identify, document, preserve and promote Sabah’s rich ethnic traditions.
He said the erosion of cultural identity and cultural heritage is a real concern due the effects of globalisation and modernisation which have become part and parcel of everyday life and provided alternative approaches.
