Cuepacs calls for discussion to address Covid-19 health frontliners’ allowance issue
Saturday, 09 May 2020 10:30 PM MYTKUALA LUMPUR, May 9 — The Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services has called for a discussion session with the Health Ministry, union and employee representatives on the issue of Covid-19 allowance claims involving health personnel.
“The views and opinions of the unions or employee representatives should be taken into account to ensure the rights and welfare of frontline workers are well-protected. Adnan was commenting on a media report today on the bureaucratic requirement and the conditions which are seen as complicating for the ministry’s frontliners to make the claims.
“The allowance provided by the government is a great morale booster. We should not dampen the spirit with bureaucracy, ” he said.
