Sarah Ismail, vocal coach on the 'One in a Million' singing competition, warns contestants of the difficulties they may face during their upcoming mashup performances.
Vocal Coach Sarah Ismail has cautioned that a few contestants may face significant challenges in their upcoming mashup performances next week. Reflecting on last week's episode, the singer, who has mentored the contestants since the auditions, acknowledged the difficulties they faced when tasked with songs outside their comfort zone. 'Most of them are great ballad singers, but this time, they were given catchy and fast songs that are completely out of their comfort zone,' she said.
Although their efforts during practice were evident, Sarah admitted,'Honestly, I'm not happy. While rehearsals seemed perfect, the live concert exposed their weaknesses.' Vocal coach Sarah Ismail also expressed gratitude for the judges' feedback, which provided her with fresh perspectives on coaching 'Some of the judges' comments addressed things I hadn't touched on during rehearsals, and that opened up new insights for me,' she shared. She also highlighted the complexities of balancing technical performance with stage presence, explaining,'People think talented singers can handle any song flawlessly, but that's not true. They need to not only sing but also deliver a complete performance, including dancing.' 'They're still new to this industry, so I'm doing my best to guide them,' she said
