Naperville's Last Fling festival, now in its fourth decade of operation, celebrates the end of summer with rides, games and music. The festival continues through Monday.
The music at Naperville's Last Fling inspired some flashy moves Friday night from volunteers Allie Budney, left, a 14-year-old who attends Bennett Academy in Lisle, and Abby Guebert, an 11-year-old who attends Washington Junior High School in Naperville.
Aspen Lane Wine Co. volunteer Cris Kalivas serves wine slushys to Chris Dunham, of Channahon, left, and Carol Biagi, of Berwyn, who came out to Last Fling in Naperville Friday night to enjoy two local bands. The Boy Band Night performed some fancy moves for the packed crowd Friday at the opening night of Last Fling, the free festival in downtown Naperville that continues daily through Monday.
Aspen Lane Wine donates all net proceeds from the sale of wine “slushys” and wine by the glass at different festivals like Last Fling “to help others not go through the suffering and issues we’re going through,” Bob said. Biagi tried one of the wine slushys, and the drink was that much sweeter when she learned her money was supporting families facing struggles. “It’s very refreshing. And we got it for a good cause,” she said.
