The Australian band are making their hugely anticipated return to Ireland with an open-air performance at Cork’s Musgrave Park on 23 June 2024, plus very special guests, The Waterboys
The Waterboys will also play a gig at Galway Summer Sessions at Galway Airport on 19 August 2024.Galway Summer Sessions is a brand new series of concerts in a marquee at Galway Airport in August 2024 with a strict audience capacity of 4,999. There will be 10 concerts held throughout the event in 2024.
The 2024 version of The Waterboys features double keyboard players Brother Paul from Memphis and James Hallawell from London, and is grounded by killer Irish rhythm section Aongus Ralston and Eamon Ferris . The music of Crowded House has resounded through eras and generations since the band launched out of Melbourne, Australia, back in 1985.
They returned in 2005 in the wake of Paul’s passing. They served up Time on Earth and Intriguer . The ARIA Hall of Fame inducted Crowded House in 2016 as the guys returned to Sydney Opera House for three unforgettable nights before going dormant again. 2018 saw Neil join Fleetwood Mac as a full-time member, canvasing the globe on a massive world tour. Two years later, he and Nick led another era of Crowded House joined by Mitchell Froom on keys and Neil’s sons Liam and Elroy Finn.
