Crowd storms offices demanding Mohlala’s reinstatement

A video, which City Press has seen, shows the group arriving at the offices in Sandton on Tuesday, singing praise songs and saying the board should be removed.

In a letter sent to the board in December, Kubayi gave instructions: “A complaint has been received from an anonymous whistleblower via the office of the Public Service Commission. The whistleblower is making serious allegations about the conduct of the CEO in relation to staff appointments and pension fund deductions.

The anonymous whistleblower alleged that Mohlala had disregarded former minister of human settlements Lindiwe Sisulu’s directive to halt disciplinary processes against a former employee who had made a protected disclosure. The complainant also attached a report by former EAAB chief financial officer Bruce Gordon confirming the allegations against Mohlala.
