Hundreds of performers took part in the festivities, including concerts including at the city’s historic fish market building. The central ceremony dubbed ‘Opera Industriale’ was held yesterday evening at the Rijeka port, a symbol of the city’s openness. The event also “tells the story of Rijeka’s ‘Port of Diversity’” which is the motto of the year-long event, mayor Vojko Obersnel said earlier.
