Bishop oversaw Abrdn’s then $14 billion fixed income portfolio, during a 12-year stint with the firm that ended in 2019. He spent a year at Gresham Partners after, advising non-bank lenders. Alexander Funds manages $580 million across corporate bonds and loans, securitisation deals and the like. Its investment committee is chaired by the Chris Dalton, a former Australia and New Zealand country head for credit rating agency Standard“His experience and knowledge of the industry will be a fabulous asset to our portfolio management and investment committee, in what we expect to be a challenging year for markets ahead,” the firm’s co-founder Chris Black said.
