The Flower-Mound company says it wants to bring its product to Texas and expand nationwide.
Lux’s craft ice, unlike standard blocky ice, is shaped like an orb, crystal clear and melts much slower. The product has become so popular across high-end bars and restaurants that consumer electronic giant LG Electronics sells refrigerators that can produce it. It’s sold in approximately 4,000 retail outlets, most in the eastern U.S.
Earlier this year, Lux Ice secured $4 million in Series A funding, which enabled its move to Texas, the company said.
