Prescott discussed the Cowboys' offense, Aaron Rodgers and more in his Thursday media session.

Prescott said he was comfortable with the offense as McCarthy was calling the plays. The Cowboys offense didn’t score a touchdown until Tony Pollard’s two-yard run with 8:03 left in the second quarter. Dallas led 19-0 until Pollard’s score a direct result of a special teams and defensive touchdown and two field goals.Advertisement

“Goes back to everything we put into this going back to April, I guess you could say,” Prescott said. “Even with the weather, for us to just have the communication that we did, the tempo that we did, protect the ball, guys finishing the way they did. I think that game, even with us not being able to show everything that we needed to — or everything that we had to, I guess you can say.

“So, just keeping those guys focused, making sure that they understand that they haven’t lost any trust in me, that I get the weather, we’re going to not wipe that one off but we’ve got to move forward and I expect y’all to catch everything. Understand that the trust is at an all-time high and we got to continue to build on that. There’s a lot of things in that game that I can say, ‘Hey, it didn’t work out here, but trust me, I’m coming back to it, so this is what you need to expect.

“I’m a 100% grass guy,” Prescott said. “And probably my injury played a huge part in that. Secondly, I’m not fast, so turf doesn’t make me fast one way or the other. If you’re fast, you’re fast. You’re going to be fast on hardwood, turf, grass, whatever it is. And if you’re not, you’re not. But I just know that the way how physical this game is, the way guys are getting tackled, it’s a whole lot safer, in my opinion, on grass than it is turf.
