The total number of cases found in Wales has now reached four, all in the same health board area.
Wales could see "hundreds if not thousands more" Omicron cases over the festive season, the Welsh health minister has saidThat brings the total to four, all of them in the Cardiff and Vale health board area.
Two cases were linked to travel or close contacts. said Dr Meng Khaw, Public Health Wales health protection and screening services director. He added that the third was still under investigation, saying: "An increase in cases of Omicron variant in Wales is to be expected."
