PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 2,090 new Covid-19 infections on Thursday (Oct 13), says the Health Ministry.
The Health Ministry said through data released on its KKMNow portal on Friday that this brings the new total to 4,861,226 cases since the pandemic began.The ministry also said through its CovidNow portal that there were 1,428 recoveries on Tuesday, bringing the total number of active cases in Malaysia to 22,804.
Of the active cases, 95.8% or 21,855 individuals are undergoing home quarantine, while 4% of active cases or 916 individuals need to be hospitalised, with 33 warded in intensive care units throughout the country.
