PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 3,264 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday (July 10), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 4,595,974 since the pandemic began.
The Health Ministry's CovidNow portal reported that 3,259 of Sunday's new cases were local transmissions while there were five imported infections.
A total of 1,156 Covid-19 patients, or 3.2% of active cases, are being treated in hospitals throughout the country with 43 individuals warded in intensive care units .The CovidNow portal also reported that Malaysia's ICU utilisation rate stood at 61.9% overall on Sunday, with Covid-19 patients accounting for 10.4% of the ICU utilisation rate.
