PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,649 new Covid-19 cases, says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry's KKMNow portal, 1,646 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 3 imported cases. A total of 16 deaths were recorded, with 8 classified as being brought in dead, bringing the total to 36,732.
