PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,251 new Covid-19 cases on Friday (May 6), says the Health Ministry.
According to the ministry's CovidNow portal, 1,242 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 9 imported cases.
This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 4,455,364 cases since the pandemic began. A total of 7 deaths were recorded on Friday with 2 classified as being brought in dead, bringing the total to 35,576.
