PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded nine new Covid-19 cases on Thursday (July 23), bringing the total infections in the country to 8,840.
said three were imported cases involving a Malaysian and two non-citizens.
Dr Noor Hisham added that the remaining six cases were local transmissions, involving four Malaysians and two foreigners. "There are five positive Covid-19 cases who are being treated in the Intensive Care Unit , and two cases that required ventilator support," he said during his press briefing on Thursday.
Dr Noor Hisham added that eight patients have been discharged, bringing the total cumulative discharged cases to 8,574.
