SINGAPORE, May 30 ― Three new inmates and one staff nurse working at the Changi Prison Complex had tested positive for Covid-19 as of yesterday. SPS said the newly admitted inmates were still undergoing cohort segregation when they tested positive for the virus following a swab test. “Two of the inmates have since been discharged from the facility, while the other remains clinically well. The staff nurse has since recovered and is back at work,” it said.SPS noted that it has implemented a range of precautionary measures for both inmates and staff since the start of the Covid-19 situation to minimise the risk of infection and ensure that cases can be detected early.
