PUTRAJAYA: One of the new Covid-19 cases was detected during a repeat test conducted on those under quarantine from the Bukit Bintang cluster, says the Health Ministry.
In a statement, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 293 individuals linked to this cluster had been screened, tested negative and subsequently isolated at a quarantine centre.
"Today's new positive case was detected from a repeat test conducted on those still in quarantine. These individuals remain isolated and therefore there is no risk of them infecting others in the community," he said.With the one additional case, there are now 11 positive cases linked to this cluster.Dr Noor Hisham said the ministry screened a total of 304 people comprising 204 foreigners and 100 Malaysians.
