PUTRAJAYA: The Covid-19 Omicron BA.5 variant has been detected in Malaysia and is likely to spread widely, says Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
He said a total of 13 cases of Omicron sub-lineage variants were being closely monitored by the ministry as of June 30.
