PETALING JAYA: Nine new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, but there have been no new deaths, says Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

PETALING JAYA: Nine new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, but there have been no new deaths, says Datuk Dr Noor Hisham AbdullahThe Health director-general said on Saturday that seven of the new cases were imported, involving five Malaysians returning from foreign countries.

He also said that the first case from the Bukit Tiram cluster, which originated in Johor, has now been tracked outside the state, with 135 individuals having been screened. As of Aug 1, individuals not wearing face masks in crowded public spaces will face a RM1,000 fine under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act.
