WELLINGTON: New Zealand melanjutkan perintah berkurung hari ini ketika jumlah kes Covid-19 terus meningkat dan varian Delta merebak dari Auckland ke Wellington.

Perdana Menteri, Jacinda Ardern berkata, perintah berkurung yang berakhir hari ini, akan dilanjutkan selama empat hari lagi. Katanya, pihaknya masih sedang menilai skala varian Delta dikesan di Auckland sekali gus mengakhiri tempoh enam bulan tanpa kes penularan tempatan di negara itu.Jelas Ardern, kesemua kes yang dikesan termasuk di Wellington, didapati mempunyai kaitan sekali gus tidak mengundang kebimbangan yang besar. – AFP
