manjung Majlis Perbandaran Manjung (MPM) mengeluarkan permit penjaja harian sementara dengan kadar bayaran RM10 sehari bagi membantu peniaga di Manjung yang terjejas akibat pandemik wabak Covid-19.

Yang Dipertuanya, Syamsul Hazeman Md Salleh berkata, inisiatif itu bermula 21 Mei lalu hingga 31 Disember ini bagi membantu dan memudahkan penjaja mendapatkan permit perniagaan dari MPM."Sebelum ini, permit hanya terhad di beberapa lokasi tertentu, namun mengambil kira situasi ketika ini, MPM meluaskan penggunaannya hingga seluruh daerah Manjung dengan pendaftaran dan pembayaran dalam talian.

"Kami mahu memberi peluang dan membantu peniaga yang terjejas terutama peniaga pasar malam yang masih tidak dapat berniaga seperti biasa. "Justeru, inisiatif ini dapat membantu mereka berniaga di lokasi yang sesuai serta selamat tetapi bukan pasar malam dan semua peniaga wajib mematuhi prosedur operasi standard yang ditetapkan kerajaan," katanya ketika dihubungi, hari ini."Lokasi yang menjadi tumpuan ramai seperti berhampiran pasar awam tidak dibenarkan, perlu lebih 100 meter dari pasar berkenaan dan MPM juga akan membuat pemantauan dari semasa ke semasa.

"Peniaga boleh dikenakan kompaun, denda atau hukuman undang-undang jika berniaga tanpa permit, justeru dengan inisiatif ini mereka tidak perlu risau dikenakan tindakan itu," katanya.
