Sebelum ini warga negara Indonesia yang positif virus Covid-19, berada di luar negara, iaitu 1 kes di Singapura dan 9 kes di dalam kapal persiaran Diamond Princess di Chiba, Jepun.

Beliau berkata, 2 warganegara itu ialah seorang wanita berusia 64 tahun dan anak perempuannya, 31, berasal dari Depok, sebuah kota berhampiran Jakarta. “Orang Jepun ke Indonesia… ternyata orang yang terkena virus korona bertemu dengan 2 orang, ibu 64 tahun dan anak perempuannya 31 tahun,” katanya di Istana Kepresidenan yang disiarkan secara langsung oleh stesen televisyen Indonesia.
