JOHANNESBURG - Africa’s biggest insurer Sanlam says it's preparing for the fifth wave of coronavirus infections.Sanlam Results | Company pays out R22bn in mortality claims Releasing its annual results, Sanlam said its operational performance has been restored to pre-pandemic levels. The insurer paid out R22-billion in death claims to clients last year as the pandemic toll worsened, up 76 percent on the previous year.
