PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 85 new Covid-19 cases, the first time since March 14 that the country recorded fewer than 100 cases in a 24-hour span.
The country also discharged 169 patients in the same period, which is nearly twice the number of new cases on the same day.
The total number of confirmed infections in the country is now 5,072, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said at the ministry’s daily Covid-19 media briefing here Wednesday .The rate of Covid-19 recovery in Malaysia is 52.2% out of the total number of positive cases. A total of 56 patients are being treated at intensive care units , with 32 of them requiring the use of ventilators.
