PETALING JAYA: Malaysia reported 54 more Covid-19 cases on Saturday (May 9), bringing the total number of Covid-19 infection cases in the country to 6,589.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said one death was reported on Saturday, bringing the total number of the deaths to 108.
She had a history of close contact with a Covid-19 positive case related to the tabligh gathering in Seri Petaling.Dr Noor Hisham said out of the 54, only one imported case was detected while the rest are local transmissions. To date, Dr Noor Hisham said there are 18 patients being treated at intensive care units with six of them needing ventilator support.
