KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 41 premises were ordered to close for violating Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) on Tuesday (Aug 3), says Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

The Senior Minister said the compliance operation task force conducted 90,155 inspections and spot checks nationwide on Tuesday.

"Several premises were inspected, including 1,634 factories, 14,687 business premises, 833 construction sites and 260 workers' accommodation. "Compound notices were issued to 248 individuals while 25 others were remanded for SOP violations," he said in a statement on Wednesday . On Ops Benteng, Hishammuddin said 10 undocumented immigrants were detained while three land vehicles were seized on Tuesday.Meanwhile, Hishammuddin said 787 individuals entered Malaysia on Tuesday."9,598 individuals are still undergoing mandatory quarantine, 249,485 individuals have been discharged while 3,774 individuals have been sent to hospitals for treatment," he said.
