Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 222 Covid-19 patients had been discharged as of noon Friday.The rate of Covid-19 recovery in Malaysia is 42.11% out of the total number of positive cases.On the latest Covid-19 death cases, the 68th fatality is a 62-year-old Malaysian man with a history of diabetes.
He is a close contact of a Covid-19 patient who is from the Masjid Jamek Sri Petaling tabligh gathering cluster.The 69th fatality is a 77-year-old man with a history of diabetes. He was treated at Kuala Lumpur Hospital and passed away at 4am.She is a close contact with a Covid-19 positive patient. She was treated at the Universiti Malaysia Medical Centre, and passed away at 2.38am.
Earlier, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that the movement control order will be extended to April 28. Malaysia is in its 24th day of the MCO, as people are instructed to stay at home and movement is heavily restricted.
