Court strikes out Synergy Promenade suit against ex-MP

Judge Nik Hasmat Nik Mohamad says statements made by the former deputy minister were not defamatory.

Former Muar MP Razali Ibrahim filed the application to strike out the suit in October last year.

SPSB sued the former Muar MP over his statement on the company’s involvement in the Kuala Lumpur Vertical City project at Jalan Semarak here. A lawyer from Messrs Gideon Tan Razali Zaini, representing Razali, confirmed the matter and said the court also ordered SPSB to pay her client costs of RM3,000.
