MADRID, Feb 23 — A Spanish court is investigating alleged match fixing in a Copa del Rey game between Huracan Melilla and Levante in 2021, LaLiga said today.
A regional court of Melilla has opened an investigation and six people, including a former Huracan Melilla player, have already appeared before the court for questioning, LaLiga said in a statement. “The club have always defended fair and clean play and will do everything necessary to fight against fraud,” it said. “We want to make clear that if any active member of the club is involved, disciplinary and judicial actions will be taken immediately.”
