KUCHING: The High Court here has fixed Aug 15 for case management of a lawsuit brought by Datuk Seri Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Abdul Taib against his stepmother Toh Puan Raghad Kurdi Taib.

He also instructed the parties to comply with the timelines for filing and exchanging affidavits as agreed by the respective counsels.

Sulaiman's lawyer Alvin Chong earlier told the court that the counsels agreed to file and exchange the documents on a number of dates from July 7 to Aug 11. Sulaiman is one of Sarawak Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud's four children from his previous marriage to the late Datuk Patinggi Laila Taib.

He is seeking an injunction against Raghad, believed to be in connection with the transfer of shares in a private company to her.The court also heard that both defendants undertook not to deal with or to sell the shares concerned until the next hearing date. Sulaiman, who was formerly Kota Samarahan MP and Federal deputy tourism minister, is Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd group managing director."Be patient and wait for the counterclaim," he said.
