HUMAN rights group Suaram has accused the nation’s top anti-terror cop of attempting to mislead by portraying Security Offences Act 2012 as good legislation that protects the safety and security of Malaysians. Suaram said Bukit Aman counter-terrorism division chief Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay is wrong in defending the controversial law by saying without it Malaysians are doomed to violence and security threats.
