The Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC, in Cross River State says it will ask the Federal Government to stop sending monthly allocations to the 18 LGAs in the state if Governor Bassey Otu fails to conduct council elections in December 2024.

called on the Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission, CROSIEC, to publish the election timetable without delay. The group also called on the Governor to expeditiously assent to the CROSIEC Bill recently passed by the State House of Assembly, which amended the law regulating the conduct of council elections.
