A police officer in Cotabato was sacked and arrested on Wednesday after a video made the rounds online where he was caught beating up his partner.
The embattled cop was identified as Police Corporal Louie Jay Lumancas, 30, of the Magpet Municipal Police Station.
Lumancas is now under custody of Kidapawan City Police Station and will be brought to Cotabato Provincial Prosecutor’s Office for inquest proceeding. [Translation: The victim is now on recovering stage and she is stable. She will also file charges against the suspect.][Translation: It will take more time for her to fully recover based on the seriousness of the injury she sustained.]
