The finance minister rubbishes allegations by a blogger that he received money in connection with the undersea tunnel and roads project in Penang.
Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng says the contract for the Penang undersea tunnel and roads project was awarded following an open tender.
He said Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad had also called the allegations on the blog a lie, while the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission had lodged a police report against the blogger.“So, how can there be corruption when there is an open tender?” he told reporters after opening the “I Love Penang” run here this morning.He said key officials in the project were arrested but were not charged.
