Richie Holland says he has a decision to make over whether to recall Benfica target Jaden Umeh from international duty ahead of Friday's play-off.
Richie Holland is weighing up whether to bring Jaden Umeh back from international duty ahead of Friday’s promotion/relegation decider against Waterford.
Holland knows his men have their work cut out against First Division Waterford, with a top-flight spot next season the prize for Friday’s victors. “They’re more than capable of going and winning the game on Friday night. It is up to us really in terms of how we perform to stop that.“I think most people at our level would do that anyway and I’m sure it’s the same for them. I know Keith Long was at the UCD game, I know Rennie was at a few games as well.”
“Sometimes he can drop into midfield to get them playing or can work off the shoulder. I can see why he’s scored so many goals.”“No change,” said the interim boss. “I have committed to the end of the season and hopefully on Friday night things go the way we want them to go, and we’ll see what happens after that.He added: I hope that people can see the work that’s been done here. Obviously I have come in at a late stage as well.
