The Coroner’s Court has established that fireman Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim died after he was assaulted by two or three unidentified people during a riot.
Adib was seriously injured in a riot beside the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple at Subang Jaya on Nov 27 last year. He died 21 days later at the National Heart Institute. Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Huzir Mohamed said the seven – who were identified as the main witnesses – were at the scene of the riot.
Huzir went on to say that they were working with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to operate the polygraph and analyse the video recordings that were featured at the inquest.
